The Knight summons the Last Stag, only to find the great creature weary and near the end of his journey. The Stag reveals a final secret: a single, unhatched egg remains in the hidden ancestral nest, cold for an age. Too weak to carry it himself, he asks the Knight to take up this final, precious burden.

guardianship A Solemn Vow: The Knight accepts, journeying with the Stag one last time to a cavern built from the bones of his ancestors. There, they find the egg, shimmering with a faint light but cold to the touch. The Knight becomes its protector, tasked with finding a place in the dying world warm enough to bring it to life.

♨️ A Perilous Journey: With the future of the Stags in their care, the Knight travels to the hot springs, shielding the egg with their own body from falling rocks and other dangers.
